Danyl threatens to quit after a change of songs just 48 hours before the show. Poor Jamie had only 24 hours to learn a song! I hate Danyl's cocky attitude! He's selfish and thinks he's the best. Maybe now, Simon will understand more Jamie! I wish Jamie all the best, he was my favourite, now Stacey to win!!!

If you read the stories in detail Danyl actually INSTIGATED the change and threatened to quite if he WASNT allowed to sing his "favourite" song. He also threatened to quit after being in the bottom two.
Time for him to go home now I think, the guy is getting too big for his boots and turning into a right diva. Little tip for him - only big international stars are allowed to be divas.

Those that keep threatening don't do it unfortunately. It's all for sympathy look at me I've had enough and cannot cope, I haven't had enough publicity this will get me some more It's time for Danyl to realise that he is nothing special plus he would have to be a top, top star of many years before he can do the "I WANT" Diva act. Sounds like jealousy probably because John & Edward are getting much more attention than him. Or is it too save face as he knows he is struggling and would rather walk than be voted of by the public/judges. Personally I don't care if he walks as long as we get rid of him and his arrogance, he is an average singer nothing special. And my opinion on his arrogance is not from what I read in the media etc but my own personal opinion/

I'm not really convinced with what the media (press) are saying and tend to doubt everything they write. So I am going to give Danyl the benefit of the doubt here. The whole X-factor thing is a farce this year. Simon, on two occasions, changed Jamies song at the eleventh hour. And Simon only seems to be with his boys on a Thursday and Friday. This weeks theme was only chosen on Tuesday (normally it is earlier on the Sunday) and the contestants had one day out of the week where they had to go home to their cities to preform (the usual thing) and only got back to rehearsing on Thursday. Danyl didn't like his song choce and I support him for speaking out. I actually think he is a fab singer. But from the start the press & media have had it in for him. With the whole farce of X-factor this year it is good to see a constestant stand by his guns and demand a song that would suit his vocal chords. And if that means challening Simon, then good for Danyl. I don't believe for one minute that he is as cocky and arrogant as the press make out at all. All entertainers, whether comediens, singers or dancers are preformers (Cheryl and Danni for that matter - are they not cocky when they are preforming as Cheryl did recently in order to get a No.1 single and album, it is part of the act?) Preforming to the best way they can, look at Slade, Dave Bowie, Mark Boland etc, can this not be seen as 'arrognance' by some? Is not an actor say in Eastenders playing his/her part not arrogant? No, they are entertaining and playing the role. I say 'good luck' to Danyl. Good for him for standing his ground. Simon changed Jamies songs at the eleventh hour and it is about time one contestant said they have had enough. I also appreciate that this could be their downfall but I am fed up of Simon (whilst I appreciate he is the best in the business) controlling people so that more money is linning his pockets at the expense of people who are novices. I'm glad to see a novice standing up for himself.

Well I didn't think much of his song change, beautiful song but Danyl ruined it. So Danyl perhaps you don't know best and should listen to your mentor who has many, many more years experience and knowledge than you or you could always go home and do it on your own.

On the contrary Simon actually said to Danyl that he was glad that he (Danyl) chose this song and that it paid off. I think Danyl was really brilliant. My only concern was that it was another shouting preformance from Danyl. I do hope he moves further up the ladder of X-factor, although I will admitt that I thought Jamie Archer was a much better singer and performer.

I thought it was interesting when Danyl said to Brian May & Roger Taylor that people thought he was arrogant, and Brian May said that people thought Freddie Mercury was arrogant, when he actually wasn't.

Very good point Rosie, which brings me to my earlier post. Are not all artists arrogant at some point. Arrogance can go a long way and help a performer right up the ladder of success.

I think the difference with Danyl is that people probably feel he has not earned his way yet, and is an 'upstart'. He would be forgiven a show of arrogance if he was already a star, as it might be more or less be expected of him. But I do agree that he is a good singer, with great potential. He just needs to hold on to his sensibilities and hopefully forge ahead.

Well he should quit from pure embarrassment after the shocking performance he gave last night. That was truly dreadful. Perhaps if he does by some miracle make it to next week he'll have the sense to let Simon go back to picking his songs for him.
