So what are the producers looking for ?

So you get invited to the first round of Pre Auditions

You enter the Audition booth/room

ready to sing

But what exactly are these fussy Producers of the x factor looking for in singers

tell me all x

can i ask you about the bgt process as I have an audition in london on 23 nov but have never been before. i didn't even realsie they have lots of london auditions. also do they have a microphone available and do they have a mixing desk so you can request effects, do you bring your own cd player? I am really confused and how many get selected and do you perform in front of many people at the audition? sorry thats a lot of questions but they have not given alot of information really.

i see you have been a few times, so i thought I would ask you. I also checked out your myspace. you're a good singer.best wishes.

First of all thank you very much for the compliment.
i am going to the auditions again this will be my 4th year trying out for the show in london im singing i am changing from dreamgirls.
you either sing accapella without backing or if you wish you can provide your own CD as producers will provide a player, their is limited time at the Audition so showcase the best bit of the song
you audition infront of 2 producers one near a desk and another filming you
no yes or no on day you have to wait next year to be selected

NO SOUND DESK or effects its a room where lots of people wait outside the door to be called in one at a time to perform then they go home and wait for a result

I'd say the producers are looking for one of three things:

1. Talent.
2. 'Entertainment value'.
3. A new angle on a returning contestant.
