have to say greys anatomy certainly knows how to pull at the auld heart strings. The izzy george stories are horrific. But the episode where the little child died of a serious illness... Well I was in floods. And tv doesn't make me cry easily.

The Kim Cattrall instalment of Who Do You Think You Are gave me a bit of a lump in the throat.  Very moving.

Stayed up in the wee small hours and watched the Jack Lemmon film, Missing, on the tv.  That really gets to you, more so because it is based on fact.

Wow, I'm watching 'Troubled young minds' at the moment...

It's really quite sad but there's this one guy that's recording a song charting what he's went through... seriously - that made me cry...

Anyone watching it?

Last Chance To See.  That did upset me at times.  Especially the bit about whaling.

Hello Rosie- Lee,

Any animal programme is likely to get me more angry than tearful, as I just don't see the reasoning for the culling of seals or the killing of whales.

I cried at the news showing what's going on in Haiti.  One poor woman had her foot yanked off by a bit of building falling on it & had been sitting there for 3 days, no painkillers, no medical attention & she was fanning away flies from her stump!  How appalling is that?

Why on earth can they not do helicopter drops of food & medical supplies if they can't get through on the roads?  It's ridiculous.  The US learnt nothing from Hurricane Katrina.

There are some members of the public who have set up a makeshift camp just a 2 minute walk from the airport.  Even they have received no food, etc!  There's no excuse, they are just there at the actual bloody airport.

 Cry

 Huh

Yes it is terrible.  They have been doing helicopter drops, but there is only so much you can drop from a chopper.   In the past in times like this they have dropped off supplies by plane, but the airport is badly damaged and it needs a lot of runway to bring in these big planes.    There's nothing straightforward about this disaster, and everyone is doing what they can in what is utter chaos.   The added difficulty is that 400 dangerous criminal escaped from the main jail, and so security is compromised.

Hello everyone ,

Whenever a natural or none natural disaster hits the world, I always feel struck dumb. As I watch in horror the news as it comes in.  Sometimes the sound of it is to horrific to watch.

I get angry when I think of the normal people who are always around to try adn help and yet they do not get recognsied with an obe or mbe. Instead celebrities get all the praise and for what,,,, nothing.
