anyone watching the new coast line cops series.
this week they are filming the police force in tobermory - scotland.

tobermorey , for those who dont know, is the place where the kids TV programme 'balamory' is filmed.
there are 5!!! police officers in total. but of course it is a very small and very quiet part of great britain, so i dont supoose they have much to do.

it just reminded me that a few years ago my parents went to visit tobermory for the day whilst holidaying in scotland, and oddly enough they said if you ask anything about the show balamory the locals are not particularly kind to you, it is actually as if they frown upon the programme and dont like the fact that it has bought tourists to the place (?) how bizarre is that!

Is this a drama or a reality type show?
We got a long standing show called 'cops' which follows real officers on their jobs. For the most part they are filmed as they run sting operations, catch white-trash drunks and typical DUI's.

Then we have a spoof of this show on Comedy Network called Reno 911 which follows a bunch of bumbling cops on their patrols.

its a reality show, they follow different police forces around the country who operate the coastal areas.

jeff i often watch the american 'cops' series on sky tv - love it!!!! especially when they have the long fast chases along the freeway's and the 'assailant' pretty much always runs into a 'dumper truck'.

we seem to have quite a few of these type of programmes on at the minute, dont we? there was one on the other day following undercover cops in london, policing the illegal vendors etc.
i love these kind of things.
