Well as most of you will be aware, Shazia became the second person to be 'fired' from The Apprentice 2008.

Now I am normally a big Alan Sugar fan, but I think he had a massive lapse in judgement when he was filming for last night's TV show. Jenny was an absolute nightmare and would destroy the morale of any team she was a part of. Shazia did nothing wrong as far as I could see and certainly did not deserve to be the scapegoat for last night's task debacle.

The whole result made me a bit suspicious to be honest. Is Sir Alan, the business guru, really so blind that he couldn't see how incompetent team leader Jenny was, or did he keep her in because he realised that her fiery personality and argumentative nature would make great and controversial TV?

What do you think?

don't think she should of been fired. Think that annoying project leader should of been as she and the blonde one said too get rid of her in the board room and just thaught she ruled the world.

Here's the clip.

See Sir Alans face when Jenny says she had to breast feed the pair....the mental image was just too much to bear!

I find it hard to believe that there are some people who actually believe that this is a serious competition and these contestants arent just media desperate wannabes. They are no different from the likes that go on BB (in fact some try to get on both), but at least BB doesnt pretend to be something else.

Of course she shouldn't have gone.  However, I think there's better tv to be had from Jenny staying - especially as there is such tension between her and the blonde lady.  Jenny has taken over the 'she devil' role that Katie had last year and, much as we hate her, it's good tv.
Logically, the fact that the bags were wrongly labelled made no difference.  They were fined £50 for that error and lost the task by much more than that.  And, anyway it was Jenny who sent Shazia back for the irons.
It was the wrong decision and I felt very sorry for Shazia who came over very well in the BBC2 programme last night.
Problem is, we're going to be stuck with the ghastly Jenny for some time, I suspect - boo!!!!!    Angry Angry Angry

I'm with you all; of course she shouldn't have been fired.  I was furious with Alan Sugar (he's no 'sir' to me!)!  He has always gone on about his show being proper with no phone votes or anybody be saved by the public or whatever, but Jenny so clearly stayed for TV's sake.  I no longer have any respect for him.  I told hubby that if Jenny wasn't fired I'd be boycotting "The Apprentice" - and I shall.  I know it has to be entertaining, but watching Jenny berate another human being, calling her a "fungus" wasn't entertaining in the slightest.  When all the bullying stories came out, I was kinda like "oh, get over it..." - until I watched the program.  Her behaviour was outrageous and that she should be allowed to stay, just as outrageous.

Very disappointing.

Yeah, there are two ways of looking at this - one is from the 'serious competition' point of view, in which case Shazia would have earned merit from studiously getting on with things. The other viewpoint is the 'good telly' one - Shazia wasn't really prominent in this episode, while Jenny and the puffy eyed blonde one were argumentative and interesting to watch.

However, even at that, Jenny was abrasive and rude to her colleagues, which I don't consider a great business skill. She talked business gobbeldygook throughout the episode instead of getting things done and working with her colleagues. And Jenny bare-face lied about Shazia's performance in the task, which either Sugar wasn't aware of or he chose to overlook.

She's definitely the 'one to hate' in this series.

I agree, Shazia should not have been fired. In fact I was recording it and came just when Shazia was in the cab going home and was immediately suspicious of a scapegoat set up. I was supposed to go to bed early but I rewound and watched it and found myself shouting at Sir Alan. He said Jenny handled it bad and yet fired shazia for something that Jenny told her to do and others supported her. It was bad management and would have lost with or without losing the clients clothes! I am dissapointed in Sir Alan if he does not watch it - his loveable, rough East London geezer type we can all identify with will be lost on the show. Bad decision and he is going to regret it when she breaks everyone's spirit like she did with Lucinda. Who is she to call people stupid ? She is like the teachers at school who used to bully the slow learners instead of encouraging and supporting them. She saw a blonde and someone better looking and decided to try and bully her intellectually and now looks a total b***h!

Hello everyone...I really enjoy the apprentice, and I admire the achievements of Sir Alan, and no one would agree that Shazia should have gone this week, but let's not forget this is reality TV,and you have to ask did she want to win the apprentice enough?
I can't imagine Shazia winning the title, as there are too many strong contenders,Jenny won't win it either ,but it makes for good viewing figures to have her in for a while longer, she is after all pretty dreadful.
Unfortunately when it came to the boardroom Shazia didn't fight her corner, and you can't be a shrinking violet on that show,if she had fought to stay she most likely would not have gone
From my perspective I think Sir Alan is fully aware of what he's doing, and also aware tv requires visual charachters, with big personalities.
However when it comes down to the final 4/5 that's when the real decisions will be made, after all an apprentice will be appointed, which entails a real job ,and real boardroom showdowns, and Sir Alan will be paying their salary.
The one who has stood out for me so far is Alex,he's a doer, and boy can he defend himself in the boardroom, let's not forget, Raef and Nicholas both stitched him up but you fight back, and he did just that ,with a good command of the English language, and  with dignity.
How real a job the apprentice will be doing none of us now know,I do think the 1st series did seek for just that, an apprentice to Sir Alan,Tim was a worthy winner although my favourite was Paul who came 3rd Wink
Michelle Dewberry,in my opinion, along with Saed, damaged the integrity of the shows format, and were concerned more with the media, consequently series 3 had to be damage limitation, and some tongue in cheek, but the contestants were very good, and the final 2 were rightly chosen,Simon was a surprise, but not a shock.
This series has very strong contenders, and I'm sure we'll all at some stage be shouting at Sir Alan, for his decisions, but it does make for compulsive viewing Wink
