So, there I am watching the first episode of Bionic Woman tonight, and I was just thinking how similar it was to Robocop, where Jaime had obviously been chosen to be made into a cyborg. While they were operating on her, I noticed a familiar looking bald man overseeing everything.
It was an actor called
Miguel Ferrer. Sound familiar?
Well, back in 1987, Miguel played a character called Bob Morton, who oversaw another human to cyborg conversion. Pat yourself on the back if you've guessed already - it was Robocop! An excellent piece of casting considering the similarity in subject matter.
Since Jaime was obviously targetted to become 'bionic' and Murphy was shifted to a precinct where he was highly likely to get murdered (and become a candidate for the Robocop programme), I'd say casting Miguel Ferrer was a fantastic choice.
