I never gave it a thought. If it interfers with her health and stamina, maybe, but if not then I dont see that it matters

No way! She's got a great voice and personality, and I can see her fitting in perfectly. And it's about time people stop being size-ist! No wonder kids have issues with their bodies and self image - the media has a lot to answer for!

They do not want her and are now looking for ways to convince the public not to vote for her. What is the point of a contest that the public decide when the judges influence it to who they want, BGT are doing the same.

Er no. I do not think weight has anything to do with it! Everyone here knows that Jodie irritates the heck out of me and I would sell my soul to prevent her getting the role - but its nothing to do with her weight. True it would be slightly unrealistic because Nancy would likely have been malnourished and underweight - but in that case the only one who would be historically physically accurate would have been Niamh with her stick thin figure. Neither Jessie or Sam are exactly stick figures, they have beautiful figures but they're not skinny in any way.
The only issue I have with the way she looks is that she's not "girlish" in any way, she's definately very womanly (and yes matronly) in the way she looks and moves while Nancy was meant to be a young girl.

Absolutely not!!! For the role of Nancy what is more important is a strong personality and strong voice. It does help if you can move well too. Jodie excells in all these areas - I think she's perfect for the part.

How daft, she isn't even fat, just curvy! I've seen pictures of CM last Nancy, and I'm sure she was quite large? How odd, clearly they are just attempting to manipulate votes away from Jodie, but it'll probably backfire, people won't like it.

‘Cameron thinks she is a bit too big and has more or less said so,’ said Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber to the Daily Mirror. Looks like Sir Andrew has hung Cameron out to dry on this one. Cameron is gonna get a whole lot of flack for that if it's true.

I have been expectionally thin (and got critised for it though it was an unexplained health problem) and now am going fatter!!! I dont think size should matter if her performance is not impaired. However I know from experience that either way, it does !!!

I saw auditions for an amatuer production of Oliver, and our nancy was very curvy and large as life, She got a tear out of me in her audition for 'When he needs me'. Size doesnt matter for Nancy, IMO she is a large as life gustsy streetwise type of character with a vunrable side and a good sense of humour.

My image of Nancy is not a skinny person but a buxom person.
