Hi Barry my daughter was badly bullied at school we took her out of one as she was being bullied and sent her to another, things were fine at first and then she was in her second show there, the head teacher thanked everyone for their success and in particulary my daughter for her "fantastic voice" and that afternoon she was beaten up by two girls one who she thought was her friend, the school did not do much other than exclude them for a couple of weeks, and in the end we had to take her out of school and spent a fortune on home tutoring etc.

I am very interested to hear about what you are doing, and I am sure she will be too.

Thank you very much for your replies Trudy, Rosie-Lee and suetpud   Smiley
I wish every success to Goffgoth in her work and I am sorry to hear of your daughter's terrible experience at school suetpud. Some years after I left school I went to a local venue to regain my confidence, and I was picked on by a particularly nasty bully there, too - one who just happened to be in a position of authority. I was encouraged to sing to an audience there and because I was finding my feet and became really popular with all levels in that place, he was unable to cope with the situation and he made it so that I was forced to leave just at the time when I was seeing everything I had wished for in my life begin to come together. It was that which really caused me the greatest damage, and the greatest heartbreak over the years. This is the reason my work means so much to me and there is such a lot for me to start experiencing in life for the very first time.

I will be developing my project with greater intensity in this new school-year, and I'm now working to a budget of around £10,000 to get events up and running - a fact which I am content in publicising.

Of course I'll keep the forum updated with developments.
Many thanks once again for your kind support.

You will have to let us know more about what you are doing it sounds really interesting and it is lovely to think that you have turned your life around and are doing so well.

I think it seems that when you are bullied it makes you into a stronger person.

Thanks Trudy and suetpud Smiley

I will certainly update the forum with progress.

I'm turning my life around but it's been ever so slow, much depends on factors beyond my control and the way mum is, too, is a great influence on how long it has taken for things shape up. Dance schools not communicating has been another problem which has been affecting progress.

I've also been researching the music scene on the continent and it is vastly different there re accommodating the style of music I am promoting. If I was able to travel freely then that would be one of the places I would aim for. Less than a 2-hour train journey then I'd be there!

I picked up this little pearl of wisdom from a computer game character, of all places, but it is so true:

"You have to have the serenity to know the things you cannot change; the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

That's very true Smiley

I'm sure the awful culture of bullying in our schools can be changed, it just needs careful planning with radically new ideas.....combined with a willing media to promote the necessary details.

Hello I'm Nicky or pogoagogo. I'm Mum to two girls both with Autism.
I have a lovely hubby who sadly lost his job after 25 years in February and my Mum is in endstage alzheimers.
That's the challenges we have but we're really lucky cos the girl are great and mum was a lovely gentle lady and I was lucky to have her as long as I did. I found this forum when I was auditioning for X factor and it was a godsend. I never posted though as I was too nervous!!.
After getting knocked out after 3 rounds though I wanted to post about my experiences and say how great I'd found the whole thing and to really encourage anyone to go for their dream.
Life got in the way of mine for a long time and I'm foolish probably to try at 43 but what the hell eh? Most of all its a fun day out. I stayed on the forum cos it's a great place to be and chat and unwind from the stresses of everyday life. I love passionate people, laughing and kindness and I hate bullies in any form.
Living life on the outside I've got very good at spotting them!!
I try and  keep a sense of humour if I can (cos it just helps I find) and as you can see from this post  I like to ramble on. Grin

Nicky, You have been a very active member of this forum since you joined and we look forward to reading your posts which are informative and also amusing. I am amazed at how you keep your humour with your mum so ill and your hubby losing his job but I expect that is what keeps you going. It's good to know something about you and you are no longer just a name Smiley On here we all like to have a laugh together and support each other when needed, glad you decided to stay with us.

Hi trudy and everyone....

nice to read all your comments and information...

please may I introduce myself ..!

simply... I give car-driving lessons here in Essex, Romford area.....
my day-to-day-routine ....

Well... I thought about Britains Got Talent this year...because ...

one of my distant-relatives claimed....(jokefully or truthfully..well never mind that ! )....while having tea-biscuits with-us...

...that one of the members of diversity-group  had been his class fellow..and he still was some-times kept in touch..!

wonderful !...I thought..!

anyway..that aside..I felt a bit motivated and thought why not...
give it a good-shot myself !...

So I applied for Britains Got Talent over internet....

I have received...two telephone-calls in past six weeks...one definately BGT staff...

and the other from an-affiliated organisation..

I forget what company she said..she Joe..spoke  fast and also I was bit-dazzled ..especially when some-one rings and says...

"Hi its about your BGTEntry..."

Both staff said ...they wanted to see my ACT: Attractive

and that I should wait patiently....for audition letter ...
" or you will hear something soon "

Not received an audition-letter not yet received a Phone call...

So ...lovely day-hear in london Romford..we have had light-sunshine many days..!

I am fine-tuning my audition rehearsal routine....and  I getting on with my daily-life also...

Like jogging, cycling, swimming...hobby music-editing & design new music tracks using sound-editing software...etc...and get good communication&  team-work with driving-lesson pupils on a daily basis..

nice to get-to-chat with everyone....
warm thanks for reading my comments....

please so what does xD mean ?

all feedback really appreciated...

warm thanks
Bashir
