I have noticed tonight that a few of the girls (mainly Emily and Kay) were having problems with the required element this week. This week the celebrities were required to skate on their own without holding their partner.

The men managed really well, probably because their partners aren't as strong as the males and haven't supported them in the same way as the others have been. Also as then men are required to lift the females they have to be able to skate alone.

Do you think the males are better individual skaters?

Being a figure skater myself I have to agree with you and I think this was shown this week in the judges marks.  Lee and Keiran had brilliant skates.  Keiran has to win as long as he carrys on the way he's going.

I'm glad you agree. I have never been on an ice rink at all, so it is great to have the opinion of someone who knows what they are doing.

Do you think the men are more confident because they have had to do lifts etc or do you think it is because of their physical strength?

I'm not really sure all of it can be nerve racking wen u r skating infront of so many people.  I would think the men are probably as nervous having to lift the women cause if they trip they are both down.  I think it just depends on the skater man or woman as you could see with Stephen he was not as good as some of the women, it's all down to confidance and practice lots of it.
