Lysander as you would know the police have already informed the press that they have to investigate because he is a high profile celebrity but not to make anything sinister of it or report  that its because its suspicious its normal   Lips Sealed

Why is is that when the media are spreading gossip they always use the term "A friend" told them, sorry no friend spreads malicious gossip and several friends this morning have said they have never seen him take anything that is not  prescribed .  Please keep your gossip to yourself unless its confirmed, people are shocked and sad about his death and the reason why he died does not matter at the moment. If you were concerned about his family you would wait until a autopsy and not make unfounded comments.

Where did you get your information from?

I'm not one to start a rumour. I had confirmation when I posted this. I think Reuters was the first to make the announcement official. But I had heard from various reputable places.

Sounds like MJ was dead at the scene and the day 'before' he had taken some kind of an injection for pain killers. I guess we won't know the truth for a while now.

Apparently he was having pain killing injections as dance rehearsals had aggravated a previous back & arm injury.

Jeffrey you would hear there before we do over here, for a while after your post the news here was all unconfirmed and the media were not sure whether it was true or not which is where all the confusion came from.

Really the cause of death is not important as it will not make any difference he will still be dead. It will only be the media that it matters to because if it was not natural causes they can then rip him to pieces instead of letting him rest in peace and thinking of his family.

Whilst it really is very sad (desperately sad) that MJ has passed away I can only see the magnitude of his death turning ugly. No doubt there will be fights over the custody of his children, the media will continually print something on the lines of the child abuse thing (even though he was cleared). I just hope that the media will let him have some dignity in death.

I am just wondering how long it will be before all the conspiracy theories start coming out of the woodwork, concerning the manner of his death.

Excuse me yummymummy a bit less of the older generation please  Huh, I was around for the Elvis mania and remember his death well as my hubbie is a Elvis fan and was quite sad when he died.

It is sad and I agree there will be legal wrangles over the children, his estate, money, rights to his songs etc and it will get nasty.  The media will probably stoop to low levels as usual and rake over old stories, people will come out of the woodwork making up stories to make money & drag his name through the mud especially as he is not here to defend himself. There will be no regard to how the family or his children feel and how hurtful the stories will be. What is the point of bringing up the past he is dead just let him rest in peace now and consider his children.

Gosh all these people coming out of the woodwork with stories about their friend, I'm glad they aren't my friends MJ has not been dead 5 minutes and already they are selling stories about him. Even the Nanny is milking the situation, no loyalty from anyone, the media slaughtered him when he was alive and are still doing it when he is dead. Instead of printing rumours why do they not make sure a story is true first, maybe because the media is not interested in the truth just selling more papers.

MJ's mum has been given temporary custody of MJ's children until a full hearing is heard when a decision will be made.

According to the papers MJ had been recording a record with his 3 children which they were going to all sing at the end of the concerts.

I hate to say this, but it is early days yet, and I feel there is far worse to come story-wise through the media.    Sad

i was so so shocked today, i was in tesco looking at the mag rack and noticed OK! have done a tribute issue to MJ. how great i thought i'l buy that, and then i noticed on the front page is a picture of him in the back of the ambulance being rescucitated, you can see the hands on his chest doing cpr and he has a hand held oxygen pump on his face - with someone obviously trying to breathe the life back into him.
it made me feel sick to see it to be honest!
sick that someone who was clearly in the right place at the right time has sold that picture and made a bundle from his untimely death.
his body is due to be ' on show'  tomorrow in neverland for the public to pay their respects.
obviously this is the families choice to do but i personally think death is such a personal event , i would hate to have people noseying round me when im looking my worst.
and by the way he disliked his own looks so much im not convinced this is something he would'v wanted.
