I was sooooo sad when I heard this today. I hope he recovers and the prognosis is really as good as suggested.

It is a shame and I hope his treatment goes well and he has a full recovery.

Thank goodness it was noticed in the early stages. I have known of guys who have had prostate cancer, which was caught in the early stages, and went on to live a contented and free life. Hope this is the case for Andrew and there shouldn't be any reason why this is not the case. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Hello slaneyvalley,

Like you I to have known two male friends suffer with prostrate cancer but because it was discovered early enough, something could be done to treat it.

They have both been in the clear now for the last two years.

I gather they will get regular check ups to make sure it doesn't return.

Andrew will hopefully get the best of treatment and quickly recover.

I've only just seen this post.  Prostate cancer was what my dad died of in '96.  I hope Sir Andrew can beat it.
